چکیده
As part of a study of the implementation of the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation Framework (EEF), SRI International and its partners (Abt Associates, Nancy Brigham Associates, and J Koppich & Associates) visited Massachusetts school districts in spring 2015 to identify and share promising evaluation practices. The research team interviewed teachers, principals, and administrators in three districts—Revere, West Springfield, and Northbridge Public Schools—to learn about their promising strategies related to building evaluator capacity.1 Evaluator capacity encompasses

St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke in Hamilton, Ontario, a 210-bed long-term care facility, is building the capacity of front-line employees to become engaged in quality improvement. With training and tools, teams made up of front-line and other staff are becoming engaged in creating a quality improvement culture. This innovative initiative was recently featured in Promising Practices in Research...

BACKGROUND Little attention has been paid to quality improvement (QI) capacity within smaller primary care practices which comprise nearly half of all primary care settings. Strategies for external support to build such capacity include practice facilitation (PF), shared learning opportunities, and educational outreach. Although PF has proven effectiveness, little is known about the comparative...
متن کاملEmpowerment evaluation: building communities of practice and a culture of learning.
Empowerment evaluation is the use of evaluation concepts, techniques, and findings to foster improvement and self-determination. Program participants--including clients--conduct their own evaluations: an outside evaluator often serves as a coach or additional facilitator depending on internal program capabilities. Empowerment evaluation has three steps: 1) establishing a mission; 2) taking stoc...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Performance and the Predictive Capacity of Build-Up and Wash-Off Models on Different Temporal Scales
Stormwater quality modeling has arisen as a promising tool to develop mitigation strategies. The aim of this paper is to assess the build-up and wash-off processes and investigate the capacity of several water quality models to accurately simulate and predict the temporal variability of suspended solids concentrations in runoff, based on a long-term data set. A Markov Chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) t...
